HP Latex 700, 700W, 800, and 800W New Firmware Release

HP has just released a new firmware version for the HP Latex 700, 700W, 800 and 800W printers. This update includes the below improvements and new functionality to the printer's operations. HP strongly recommend that you install the new firmware as soon as your production schedule will allow. The download and installation process will take between 15 to 30 minutes.

Firmware Version PLS_31_22_14.5 (MR3) Improvements
  • New functionality: Right edge position (Roll settings)
  • New functionality: Backwards input tension (Print mode settings)
  • Remaining substrate message when unloading material
  • Fix for the unsupported web browser issue
  • Automatic and manual printhead alignment improved
  • Media Edge Holder usability improved by a Front Panel guided workflow
  • New screen to warn customer to clean Fluidic Interconnect towers
  • This firmware release contains a downgrade restriction and only can be downgraded to PLS_26_22_03.1.
The easiest way to install the new firmware is from the printer's front panel. We have a video on our YouTube page showing you the steps.
