Hello

We just got a used HP Latex L25500 printer and when it prints it has wavy lines and blotchy ink spots.

This our first Latex machine so please bear with us.

I have also attached a couple of pictures showing the issues.

Also we are using Flexi 12 (cloud)

thanks for the help

it's very very difficult to on cheap banner material on the HP. you'll need good quality material and the right profile for it or your just wasting your time.

What are you currently using?

Who are your local suppliers?

We use Grimco Key Banner, NGlantz BeBanner, and Montroy MonCor a lot they all seem ok in the 360

We had a Hp 9000s and could use the Ebay specials ($50 per role, junk). So that is what I'm trying to use now.

We are mostly a print shop (copies, books etc) and just got in to doing banners about a year ago. So the only company we have signed up with is N Glantz.

BeBanner is not a bad price :) have you used the Gloss or Matte material.

thanks again

Oh yes, the tire tracks ....

Hi There,

I was at a shop that got a new HP 28500. Had those same tire tracks across most banner materials we tried. Even the sales/maintenance person had no idea.

Two things:
Profile: Sometimes the heat is too high and the pinch rollers leave an imprint, ie: tire tracks.

Material: We had a couple of rolls that were covered in a thin powder, which also caused tracks.

You seem to be on the right track with the above advice. Just wanted to let you know this has happened to others, and you are not crazy or stupid or inexperienced.

Good old HP!

Thanks for the reply. By any chance do you recall what the temps were set at?
