HP Scitex FB500 carriage motor gear

Has anyone tried to pull the gear off the top of carriage drive motor? I know the supplier says they don't come off, and you have to buy a new motor. just wondering if anyone has tried and/or had any luck.

Try to locate a bell and howell service person in your area. Otherwise a electrical control tech. Often they work as a loose independent team, that often know some one who is willing to work on it.

Yes loosen small set screw and use small wheel puller to pull off and replace with new
