HP vs Mimaki

Latex printers – HP vs new kid on the block Mimaki – anybody able to truly test and can help me figure the best one to go with.

Is the Latex printers similar to the Thermals as far as fumes and type of stuff you can print with? IS it on the spot dry like Thermal?

why?

Why do you want latex? That may be the better question. I looked at it and eco solove and bought a Mimaki Ecosolve.

latex > solvent > ecosolvent, imho.

mimaki vs. hp, ummm gonna have to go with potatoes vs. potatos here. trusted brands, trusted machines, and mimaki is not that much "newer" to latex than HP is at this point.
i'd say go with whatever you can get a better deal on/whichever you'll have an easier time servicing & purchasing for.

Johnmpcny Graphic drys instantaneously when printing from the latex, whereas the ecosolvent printer needs 24-72 hrs of curing. Need an on-demand product!

I understand tomato, tomatoe HP and mimaki provide the same capabilities just different brand. Thanks Mikepro

i just bought a hp latex and i couldnt be happier ! quality is great and you cant put a price on it being ready to go as soon as it comes out of the printer imo.

nice! Tell us more! What size, what are you printing. Does it have metallic or white ink ? Have you used it on thick materials ?
