HP5500PS UV BELT Tension

Having problem with the belt on the carriage. Printer works fine. But when belt is moving the carriage back and forth on the print the little metal clasp that holds the belt together bounces on the frame and makes a awful sound. Haven't found any help on the web for replacement or a fix. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

It sounds like you need to get that belt replaced.
Lift the cover and look to see if there are black shavings
under the belt on the silver tray under the belt.
You can do it yourself - I paid to have it done

I dont have any shavings of the belt. Is it possible it just needs the tensioner adjusted?

Yes, it's possible it's the tension. The same videos would show you where the "tensioner" is.
