Hs-15 plus question?

I am moving my plotter and need a longer cord. Do I need to get something special or will any RS-232 cable work? The cable I have now has a serial 9 pin adapter on one end and a 25 connector with just 3 pins. I would appreciate any help.

I have used a gerber plotter for years with a similar setup. I use the gerber cable from the plotter to the cord I purchased at radio shack which connected to the back of the computer. Works fine. Hook it up and give it a whirl.
