Pics below - can this be purchased somewhere or is it a custom creation? It has a light on top, and a fluorescent tube under that crossbar. If custom, any idea how it can be easily made?

looks hack. the alum you can bend and rivet it together. i bet that thing doesn't have a UL listing stamp on it. jesus.

You might find a U/L stamp on it, but not for the configuration that is.

That was probably a lighted pole and someone [like mentioned] jerry rigged that lamp holder and you can see romex wire coming out with nothing around it to feed the illegal light fixture.

I'd be extremely careful in taking on a job like this , if the people won't consider doing it the right way.

Look home made. I do not believe it would pass any inspection, if that romex isn't UF it is illegal.

Personally I like these kind of jobs.It's an opportunity to sell something nice to them.

I'm happy to sell something nice to a customer. The problem is it's so hard to give an accurate quote for something like this, and most of the time, you lose time and money.
