I have had it with Ultraflex

After today I have had it with Ultaflex junk. Printed 20 2-sided banners, on brand new roll of 18 oz Blockout LTX, printed side A (rougher side) it printed fine. Started printing Side B and found random plasticizer come out and make the prints look terrible. I will not use Ultrflexx even again. Hope the customer does not reject this job.

I have got to fined a heavy duty double sided banner material. Bantex is just to damned expensive. Looks like the only option is Key 15oz.

What's more important ?? Doing the job over on cheap stuff, or delivering a perfect job the first time ??

Sometimes saving a few bucks is not worth the hassle, if it gives you problems. When you divide a whole roll of media up, what are you saving a square foot ?? Maybe a few pennies over the entire roll. Is it really worth the headaches ??

I always used Ultraflex not because it was cheap but because it printed beautiful.

I just had the same problem with the last two or three rolls I got from them.

they are not making it the same anymore, I've switched to Arlon banner material, works great

If you're used to the feel and durability of Bantex or Ultraflex, you'll be sorely disappointed in the 15oz from Grimco. The stuff is weak and flimsy - if these are to be used for pole banners or anything outdoors I would stay away from the Grimco stuff. (Just saying from my experience.)

Specs don't look all that good on the Arlon DPF318 either.

We switched to Arlon dpf315 last year as our default banner with great success. Stick with matte, and its two side printable with no issues for us. Their dpf318 is really good too.

Give Mark a call at Milano he might have a different 15-18oz Double sided banner you can use, let him Know Josh/Bigfish sent ya 303-935-8565 he also might have some heytex banner that would work also.
