I have not seen my printer ever do this before...

I am printing a logo wall for a trade show and set the file up staggered once with 16 small logos. I then repeated it 6 times. the total distance was about 20 feet. I worked from a bitmap file. I get down to about the 94% complete and then I happen to glance at the printer and it has what appears to be finished... but wait I see it inching vinyl along, but not printing. I check the prod manager and see it is at 94% and it basically just slowly pulls the vinyl it would have printed to the 20 foot mark and stops..finished!! because it is a repeating pattern and we will be cutting the vinyl in the seems of the back drop it is not a big problem to print 2 more sections...but WTF happened? Jv3 130 spII Flexi rip.

It sounds like there might be a file issue or communication problem. Usually if you have file that has white area it will skip that part to save time and just push the media forward. It's almost like the printer thinks that part of the file is white and therefore doesn't need to print.

yes there is that white area every 12" or so through out as it was one bitmap sent 6 times...Doesn't look like it printed the last one but made all the moves like the others. What I mean by that is that it did that slow creep, then stop like it was getting ready to print again, but just didn't, then rolled ahead and then creeped some more. I think it may have been a communication error as I was also running quite a few cut jobs with the prod manager on earlier print work. Overloaded the old *******!!!
