I need info on Content Management Software

Hello, New to the forum. I've tried to search for this subject, as I'm sure it's already been discussed.
I'm having a hard time searching in this forum.

I would like to find out what are the main content management softwares used in the industry.
Also any feedback and discussion would be awesome as to why, or why not. differences etc.

Also has anyone just stuck to an excel spreadsheet?

Please be a little more specific. There are many different areas of "content": web, print/publishing, production...to name a few.

SignVOX would be my choice if you want more of shop managment tool. Pricing, invoicing, workflow, crm etc. I'm a little biased though.

I just use Bridge. It's easy once you start using the filters.
