I saw the famous KFC sign!

I went to Atlanta last weekend to see one of my favorite bands, Widespread Panic, Saturday and Sunday nights at the Tabernacle. That's not important to the story but wanted to throw that in there because it was AWESOME!!! Anyway, on the way back home to Alabama on Monday (my birthday), we wanted to find an IHOP. The GPS took us some crazy, out of the way route but we finally found the IHOP. The best part is that the crazy route took us right by this world-famous, KFC sign! What a great birthday weekend!!!

Nope! And IHOP has some meals in the 300 - 500 calorie range so I didn't eat a big 'ol gut bomb. :)

The moral of my story is that, when life isn't going your way, enjoy the ride because it might take you somewhere fun and unexpected!
:peace!:

Been seeing them for about 14 years now. Kind of lost interest after Mikey passed, but still catch them when I can. Have the SBD from NYE and they sounded incredible. Herring is an insane guitarist!

Yea!!! More Panic fans! I'm so glad to finally find ya! I've seen them somewhere around 50 times, first show in 1994, I think. Most of the rest have been in the last 10 years and most of those in the last 3. My guy has seen them about 200 times but he's counting the times when they were a bar band in the early 90s.

The hiatus is disappointing but understandable. Plus, maybe I'll get to take a vacation this year that doesn't involve a show and I can relax for a change!

Saw Furthur twice last year and hope to again this year. There's lots of festivals to go to. Might even go see Phish if I'm jonesing for a show.

I remember back in the 90s when the sign got damaged by a tornado and KFC was going to replace it with a regular sign. The public when nuts over the idea and raised so much hell KFC rebuilt it.

Just remember....Cartman tried to warn the world of the dangers of hippie jam bands.
