I wouldn't mind having the 24HD, but I think I'll have to stick with the 21UX and the 12WX(have to thank my sis for not needing hers anymore).

I'm not good enough to use a Cintiq, but I love my Bamboo CTH-460. It allows me way more control than a mouse.

Hmmm....for $299 that 10" is very tempting. Reviews all sound (mostly) good considering the low price.

10" is pretty small. The 12WX is (that's right) 12" and that is borderline too small. Great for travel and for the production, but the 21" is just right. But then again my eyesight is pretty well shot.

I was going to avoid the 24HD because it did not rotate, but when I saw a demonstration, the guy rotated the screen image. I walked up to the guy and told him I'm a lefty too, but have a habit of drawing with the image almost completely sideways, he gave me a few tips and let me at it.... it felt pretty natural.

I agree, I don't think every designer needs one, some of the better illustrators I know still prefer the mouse. I would mainly use it to make my presentations look more organic, get my concept sketched in the computer faster, and the occasional illustration.

I think the IPad is getting to the point where I can use it for design so I'm getting it and running Adobe Ideas (http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeideas.html). I tried that, and though not as tight as a Wacom, it does a pretty good job. They have it for Android devices too by the way, I would check out the videos...

Can you do text with adobe ideas?

Does Adobe ideas handle text at all? I have it on iphone and im not super familiar with it yet, nor have i upgraded it. I got a watermarking app for photographs and I've been using that to show people at on site meetings what the letters would look like on their window/building.

All I could think of was DY-NO-MITE. Not the unit, but from the guy who looks like J.J.
