ICC profile question...

I am just getting into sign making and graphic designing.....It sounds dumb...but what is ICC profile and how to use it? Guess that's why I am just a College Freshman here and not smarter than a 5th grader.....lol

Read up on Color management - in simple terms a ICC profile describes the color characteristics of the device the profile represents. You can have monitor, printer, scanner and other types of profiles.

Profiles are a part of the "recipe" to have your printer heads put the proper ink levels and pattern for a specific media. For example: you want to have a lot of ink sprayed onto a banner, but not the same for a photo quality print. There is a lot more to this, but this a a basic description. Profiles make or break a good print.
