I mean literally smells like sh&t. Anyone else notice this? I notice the smell out of the box, and then run it through a hot Latex printer and OMG. I'm ready to stop using it it's so bad.

Haven't used it on a latex yet. But no smell on a solvent

Not even when you open the box? In the bag? This is the only vinyl like this, so I know it's not something from my vendor.

3M vinyls always have had a strong smell and that particular one more than others. Some call it the smell of money, but JiffyJohn distributers might say that also.

Yeah it used to have a smell I didn't mind. Seems over the past few months it has changed. And this fresh roll I just cracked open had me checking the bottom of my shoes. My printer room smells like a great dane laid out a massive crap on the floor.

What temp are you curing at? Dealt w the shtank as well but lessend when we brought the temp down to 215. The lam does smell like it came over on a boat full of weed from r sure.

I'm in agreement with everybody so far as far as it being a recent development and the laminate being worse than the media itself. We're catching a distinct combination of feces, vomit and the chronic off the laminate.

I can live with the weed scent, but the rest of it has to go.

I know what you mean. I was going to use 40c to do some one day graphics at an indoor event. I ended up throwing away all the graphics because of how overpowering the smell was. I won't use the 35c or 40c for indoor graphics anymore.

I use 35c and 40 c all the time. I really don't think the smell is strong. The vinyl that has a really pungent smell is 180c. That stuff will curl your nose hairs. lol

I like the smell of 3M stuff... Has that nice adhesive smell to it. Worst stuff is Avery cast. I have a customer that needs a roll of that stuff and it is HORRIBLE. Smells like stale crude oil.
