Illuminated signs

I am a junior graphics designer. I haven't done any illuminated display so far. I have seen these types of signs a lot and it looks quite catchy . What sort of light they use in the background for these types of displays. I know it is LED but what type of LED

We use LED strips like the attached pic, they come is 20' lengths and we custom cut to fit each application, is this what you were asking? We use Sylvania from Tubelite.

Generally I use the Agilight Pro160 which are 160 lumen modules.
