Illustrator FINALLY increased canvas size by 10x

They Didn't actually increase the artboard size, they are using pdf scale trickery... which as mentioned by Ikarasu can cause issues with legacy PDF tools, rips, and machine drivers.

Yep. I've experienced strange issues when printing from oversized artboards, like strokes getting 10x thicker at print time, or other oddities -- so I just make sure to expand / outline / flatten everything before saving as a production file -- and, of course, double check to make sure the RIP's print size matches Illy's artboard size.
