Illustrator saving multiples copies of files?

Recently my Illustrator started saving two copies of all files.
Now, every time I make a new file I have that file and another file in the folder called "filename_01.eps" in the folder also. I cannot remember changing any preferences and do not see any to change about my saving preferences. When hitting save on an open file it always questions me if I want to overwrite both files.

It's any file I open or create new, in any folder. It's not a hidden file, it's another genuine Illustrator document. (windows OS)
