Illustrator Saving Two Files

Illy keeps saving two files. Anyone know what this is all about, and how to make it stop? It's making me suicidal.:frustrated:

don't do it caleb!

with cs4 and exporting the eps, there's an option on the bottom left to use artboards or all or page ranges

You are a wonderful human being for saving my life. I've been using Illustrator for years and never had a use for that option.
