Illustrator tip

I revealed a little known tip in another thread. Here is another...

Did you know that in the transform box you can move objects exact amounts?

Let's say are doing precise work and you have an object that you want to move exactly 2.25 inches up/down/left/right

Example: in the x y box it says your object is at some oddball amount of x3.764 and y4.214. If you want to move it to the right 2.25 inches you just add the following number and + sign

It will look like this 3.764 + 2.25. Then hit the enter key. Voila

You can also copy the original and paste back if you want to duplicate.

Here is another tip I just discovered last month.

If you create a square or rectangle in Illustrator, and it needs to be an exact size that perhaps you didn't put into your original perimeters.

In the bar at the top of work work page you can pick the object you want to work on, and set EXACT sizes for height and width. Hit the return key and there it is.
