Illustrator with cut studio help

How do you...... using the Cut Studio Program with AI make the brush strokes you have made in AI able to be cut? Please help I have made a straight line but it does not show up when I got make it cut it. I have tried live trace but that has not got me anywhere.. I am trying to make a dotted line in a square like the are to clip a coupon. Any help is apperciated.

What version of Illy?

did you try going to:
"OBJECT" then "expand" or "expand transparency"?
