what would be a good size image for a wall mural 8'x8'.......customer sent me 1200x1800...looks pixalated when scaled to that size....

I dont think a 2.1mp image in general is not going to scale to that size very well at all - might be acceptable for long distance viewing but not close up. It will also depend on the image dpi resolution as well as other factors like if someone has already scaled it up some. I'm guessing you have a pretty low quality compressed jpg though. Looks great on screen but probably not so good when enlarged. You will probably have much better luck scaling it up with a dedicated enlargement tool like Genuine Fractals though. Then again - even those tools can only do so much depending on what the original is.
