In need of 48" banner rolls

Grimco saved the day, they can still slit. Unfortunately with my Mutoh 1204 I can't print on 54" rolls. I called Grimco and they offered to slit the rolls. $6.00 a piece to slit each roll was well worth me not attempting this on my own.

Fellers left me down big time on this one. For as long as I have owned my printer (14 years) I have ordered 48" zeelon banner from them. I purchased a 48" roll 6 months ago and ran out yesterday. Fellers now has their new "black label" replacing EVERYTHING and they don't offer 48" rolls....

Would you know what sales person or branch said they still do, as I am in the same boat.

Interesting! I assume the heat from the blade doesn't melt the vinyl or plastic?
It won't as long as you go slow and back off at frequent intervals to let it cool down. The more teeth, the finer the cut, but also the more likely to melt/burn. You shouldn't see smoke from these videos -- I like their DIY initiative -- they just need to slow down and cut / cool their blade in smaller increments.

Another option: For those of us with a spare laminator, it's possible to rig up a weighted knife holder and rest that on top of a roll of vinyl mounted on your laminator. It maybe slower, but you get a clean cut using nothing but a razor blade. Put a stop in place so the blade doesn't keep cutting into your core after you left it unattended for 30 minutes (lol). This method also works for trimming off that extra film on long laminate runs.
