Hello
i am thinking about buying a CNC router and looking at a Industrial CNC 4 X 8 with a vacuum table. We are a smaller shop and do a lot of channel letters. I would like to get into 3 d routed signs. Any one have any input on this company? The price, 15500.00 seems really good. Thanks for any advice.

Now we cut them out with a jig saw on foam and then route the faces off the backs with double sticky tape and a 1/8" over bit. It's pretty slow especially getting the tape of the plastic.

Those guys have changed names 3 times... I dont know why, but they have. All of their reviews have been the same for all 3 companies but they just change the names in the review to match the new company name.

looks like a chinese build to me. you have two wise choices. limac or shopbot. there's other new builders out there but why someone starting out wouldn't just buy a used shopbot alpha is beyond me.

but move quick when one comes up. they don't sit around. plus that proves you can put $5000 in learn the ropes, it will serve you well, then most likely sell it for $5000 a year plus later.

Pulled the trigger

We'll after months of looking & researching I bought a "Shopsaber 4814"
This is a 60" X 144" table with a spindle, cooling system & the table is plumbed for a vac hold down ( no vacuum pump). It is less than 5 years old. I have it set up at my shop and have cut out a replacement face for a channel letter. I am working on learning the software. It came with visual mill 6.0 anyone using this? I have been going through the tutorials and I'm not sure if this will make 3d signs. If not can anyone suggest a reasonably priced and easy to learn software? Also I'm looking for a vacuum pump. Any ideas on a reasonable solution.
I was looking for a "Shopbot" as was recommended but a 4x8 used alpha is not selling in that price range. I got this table for what they wanted for a used alpha. I think this is a much more heavy duty setup.
Thanks for your input.

In my opinion, Shopbots are not very ridged / sturdy. They are OK, but I think you did way better.

If you have the budget, Aspire is pretty good cnc software.
