Ink - expiration dates

Hi there, I've got an HP L25500...

Hopefully someone can advise me on this.

I have a CYAN ink cartridge in the machine that is fairly full, about 3/4, and getting message on my machine the ink cartridge is expired, which it is. I selected the option to use it anyway, even though it is expired. But cannot get the machine to print.
Any clue what's wrong? Anybody experience this?

I have a message in the LCD window on machine "C Cartridge has expired"

Good News - got it working again. Just turned everything off and reset, all goo now! So using the override worked on this cartridge. Yay!

Even though I don't own an HP thank you for posting the solution.

Just hate when people ask for help then disappear from the thread they created.:frustrated:

Keep an eye on those EXP dates when you get inks in. We got a set in for our mamaki and half were expired when we got them. I didnt even know to look until i plugged them in and got the same type of error you had. :banghead:

yeah, but...

since print heads are cheaper than inks (besides the 2 heads to 1 ink cart. factor)...I don't think I'd worry about using up close to $150 worth of ink, because a $110 head "might" be compromised...

Good point, I don't order the inks or anything here so not sure on pricing, I just print. I'll keep that in mind though. All my printheads are expired though since they have used more than the allocated amount of ink and still look great.
