Ink issues vp300i

Hey guys

Totally new to printing with Roland's. I recently purchased a VP300i and I'm having problems with the inks appearing to run into each other and slight banding.

I've attached images.

I have tried several different media's, using generic vinyl profiles as well as Metamark profiles. I've slowed the head speed down, the heater is at 40 and the dryer at 47.

Pulling my hair oit as I can't seem to get it right and to me it looks like too much ink is being put down so it's not curing on the media fast enough.

Any ideas guys?

Update....

I changed the yellow in the design to a different colour as I could see it really only affecting yellow.

Results in the images. Although I still need to tweek the quality settings it seems the yellow ink is the problem.

Any ideas why?

Check your pre-printing and post printing heat settings also.
See the operations manual for suggested temps.

Managed to get it looking a lot better. Manual clean and a few normal cleans via the printer. Changed some settings. Getting there but still not right.

I usually see this when the heat is too low, the profile is laying down too much ink, and/or when the ink is old. If you did a bunch of cleanings and it got better, my guess is the ink needs to be agitated a bit. Rock the cartridge back and forth a few times.

Can you show a test print (Nozzle Test)? As mentioned above I would say its a mix of too low head and wrong profile being used. What media are you printing on?
