how do you handle doing installs for corporate customers based out of your local area. i get calls all the time from outfits out of the area looking for a local installer, they tend to have lengthy contracts to their favor, but it looks like descent money? what things can i do to cover my arse, and make sure i get paid. are there any major image companies to avoid?

get a PO from them, do everything right, invoice correctly, you will get paid - we do these all the time -- only problem I've ever had was when the person at the company subbing you out gives verbal go-aheads where job goes over PO -- my advise is STOP until you get a revised PO with correct price

We do lots of installs. Never had a problem yet. Be sure you have plenty of insurance, you break the sign on install you have to fix it.

this time its 1/2" thick sintra letters mounted flush on bead board, i decided to try it it looks like the only thing i can lose is some labor.
i had asked some specific questions and they gave me vague answers now they want to change the schedule and do it at night, of course no overtime,
we also get lots of calls to install printed graphics, for retail outlets close by, i've always turned them down, but i cant afford to be as picky this winter.
any one have any dealings with Image Consulting Services, inc, out of Ohio

They told you what the job pays?
when i answered the phone their first question is what is my hourly rate, to which i replied $85 and she said great i'm going to send you a PO and she got right down to business, i then told her to hold on and i'll look at it,
but, yes they have a $650 allowance for the install
