Thinking of expanding into the rental sign business. Not the "happy birthday" signs or lit arrow signs, but dark signs with replaceable neon letters. Was wondering what kind of insurance was needed for the sign once installed (temporarily) and who is responsible (me or customer) for codes such as easement violations. I will not go into this without knowing such codes, but would it be my place to refuse to place where the customer wants it because of a certain ordinance. Or can I only suggest where not to put it and they take full responsibility for any fines involved. I don't want my signs tagged or impounded because the customer wants their sign inches from the road.
