invisible button on my edge LE

I have only had the printer for 20 years and only today discover there is an invisible button on the front panel... You can feel it but it has no markings. I turned the machine on and pushed it and it seems to want to start printing..... Someone please tell me what it is for and what is the machine trying to do when I push it?

The PRINT TEST is a hidden key located between the FOIL SLEW key and
the SETUP key. (A hidden key is an unlabeled area of the keypad. In the keypad
illustration above, the hidden key is indicated by a dotted line.) Pressing the
PRINT TEST key once continuously prints the test pattern selected in the Setup
menu. Pressing the RESET key stops printing.

You have. We can't print our test patterns fast enough. Clients love them! Most get them framed and put them up in their reception areas as abstract art. All report that their sales increased by 50% or more after they began displaying them.

Gotta go. Got to keep my Edge cranking out test patterns or we'll never get caught up.
