Is a large sheet of magnetic a bad idea?

I know magnets are a bad idea for vehicle solutions in general, but nevertheless, people still want them. I have a guy driving across the country in a truck that already has graphics on it it sounds like, and he wants to cover them up. He is asking for sizes like:

48" X 27" and 12" X 24". I'm not worried about the 12" X 24", but I'm thinking that a 48" X 27" is going to be an issue, not only because I can only get material in 24" rolls, but also because it's going to catch a lot of wind? Am I thinking wrong, or is it going to hold better because there is more surface area to grab to?

Either way, I'm not warranting it past walking out my door...but I don't even know rather to sell him a 24" X 48", for each side.

I used to work for a company that had a van with a 30" x 48" magnet on both sides. It was on the van for so many years that it baked itself into the paint.
