Is it just me or is Matte everything better?

We just started using matte vinyl a few months back and now almost everything I print I decide would look better on matte.

Am I crazy or just hooked...maybe because matte is new to me or something, ((all) cut vinyl being glossy) but I just think it looks so much more expensive than glossy

I've found that matte vinyl produces a much nicer print, less banding on high speed jobs too. if you laminate with a gloss lam, it looks just as glossy too!

I actually didn't realize this until I did a job for another 101 member here, but I hadn't ever given a thought to spraying a matte clear from even just out of a krylon can, on a gloss vinyl to get the desired look. I did it and it worked like a charm. I don't have any matte adhesive vinyl, but I do know my matte banners look better.

I made the switch to matte vinyl last year as a result of other people suggesting on this forum. I've been very happy I did. I usually laminate with glossy but the matte vinyl just prints so much better. I don't have to worry about the occasional specks of dust ruining the print.

I did not know that prints look better on matte.
I've been using gloss media, but most prints I laminate I use matte lam. becasue I like the look better.

Matte for my next order it is.
I love this site!

(IMO) Matte is better for blending colors/layers. And maybe it's just me, but I feel it spreads smoother perhaps due to the difference in surface texture?
(I once magnified the surfaces and could see a difference between the gloss and matte)
