Is it possible to export ripped VWD files to Postscript?

Sometimes we have to move a job from the Roland to our HP700 UV printer. (banding issues, takes too long, etc) Is there a way to convert ripped files from Versa to Postscript? So I can push that file into our HP's rip?

I know the location of the ripped VW files, but the format seems to be propietary. It doesn't need to maintain the cutline data, just the registration dots so when feeding it back thru the Roland, I can cut things out.

VW's export and save as functions don't seem to allow this.

What a stupid question. Put the original file into the other RIP.
Ripped files have resolution dependent pixel and color information inside prepared for the printer and printhead configuration.
Sure, you will have color differences unless you do color calibration on both devices.
Also, your roland is halftone printer, HP is contone.

IF IT WERE ME
i would workwith colorcrest and setup a "universal profile" (not sure of my terminology) so you have a profile to choose allowing both printers to have basically the same color space and print very similarly

We’re on Caldera 8, and the cutting module
Doesn’t support our xr-640. I’d kill for a Colex KissCut tool but that thing costs a fortune
