That could possibly be caused by static electricity, dirty head, mismatched profile/media combination....
Maybe you could clean the heads, make sure the media is dust-free and dis-charged of static...try a different profile? Does it happen while printing uni-directionally as well?
A test-draw should show what shape your head is in.

static has alwalys been a bogus reason for overspray.... as if it WAS an issue, wouldn't ALL the heads be having the same problems?
head might be on its last legs, but first try doing a long nozzle wash followed by a head wash. also scrub the sides of the printhead with foam swabs/cleaning solution, as to remove any potential debris that may be causing this issue as well.

haw do i make head wash white my ink system?
in the manual is ask me to remove the cart's out...
