Is soljet & versacamm same ink??

looking for eco sol max ink cartridge for my vp540.
guy gave me roland soljet EX ink cartridge.
can I use it to my vp540??

why would someone give away one cartridge? i might be wary of using it .... a new one ain't too expensive.

I have an Ex and the eco solvent max inks are interchangable with the versacamm

All Roland printers with heat should be using the Max inkset. Roland offered 3 inksets that were "eco solvent" but each have specific uses.

SOL - Original SOlvnet ink - required treated media
Eco-Sol - Second Generation - required heat to cure - non treated media
Eco-Sol Max - Current Eco-Solvent inkset - heat required - non treated media.

Check the end of the cartridge for a part number...

SL = SOL Inkset
ESL = Eco-Sol Inkset
ESL3 = Eco-Sol Max inkset
