I would think if it has the recycling logo on it somewhere, it is. Otherwise..... burn the crap. :Big Laugh Besides, burning is the ultimate recycling.
Yes it is recyclable. Backer paper is either paper, woven material, or film with a siliconized surface. Basically meaning it has silicone on the surface of the paper. This is recyclable. Here is an article.
For one thing- it costs me half as much to have a recycling container dumped vs. a normal dumpster. And while I don't
expect my recycling to make any amount of difference to my life... it certainly is not a bad thing (I have a child and a grandchild to whom it may make a difference). Bob is very sure of his positions- which means nothing to anyone else.
The siliconized part is what's throwing me off. Here in the land of socialism, Canada we don't pay for recycling. However if I really wanted to be on the up and up I would have to take it to our local dump. But I throw it in the recycling at the place I'm working at or my apartment recycling bins.
