I have always thought it was but, I'm wondering because of the glossy part on one side.

I would think if it has the recycling logo on it somewhere, it is. Otherwise..... burn the crap. :Big Laugh Besides, burning is the ultimate recycling.

Yeah I would if I lived up in the farm. My pals that live up there burn damn near all the garbage.

we donate all of our backing paper to the local schools / libraries.

They love they stuff and with most of it having the rid lines on the paper side makes it even more valuable to them

Here's what bob would say, although with way more words:

"who the f--k cares"

For one thing- it costs me half as much to have a recycling container dumped vs. a normal dumpster. And while I don't
expect my recycling to make any amount of difference to my life... it certainly is not a bad thing (I have a child and a grandchild to whom it may make a difference). Bob is very sure of his positions- which means nothing to anyone else.

The siliconized part is what's throwing me off. Here in the land of socialism, Canada we don't pay for recycling. However if I really wanted to be on the up and up I would have to take it to our local dump. But I throw it in the recycling at the place I'm working at or my apartment recycling bins.

Our local recyclers won't take the backing paper because of the silicon component...

Around here is goes in the garbage. Which sucks but they won't take it doe to the silicone content.

If you want to get rid of it for free, local preschools, day cares and art schools will all gladly take it off your hands.

Our recyclers won't take it, or coroplastic which always dumbfounded me since I thought it was made from recycled stuff.

I guess the only way to find out is I have to go to the dump and get it from the horses mouth, I bet it isn't recyclable.

Around here asking such a question to the city staff at the dump would be met with a open mouth stare and a stern "i donno"
