My Midwest rep was in with a 3M rep yesterday (with samples rolls). We are
the home of 3M (Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing) and I have used 3M
products all of my working life. We use mainly Gerber(3M) premium vinyls for
cut and edge printing (Arlon for 24" as they seem to match their colors to 3M).
After studying the boards prior to our first SP300 purchase years ago, I went
with Triangle Inx and Orajet/ Oraguard for inkjet printing- never regretted
either. But... my mind has been straying to 3M- they are late to the party with
quality calendered print vinyl which we use mostly- but they are coming out
with comparable products now with lower price points it seems. It is hard to
compare one line to the other- I am used to the nice charts that Oracal uses.
Has anyone found something comparable for 3m products- my head is about to
burst with all the new numbers etc. Please help an old fart out. Gene
