is there a way to remove all masks at once?

I have been finding files lately that I need to unmask to be able to do anything with, but instead of it being one mask it just seems to go on forever. I have now unmasked this current file 6 times with no end in sight. I know sooner or later I may lose information on the file. How do you other guys deal with this? Is there a simple way to remove them all at once?

I select all of it, ungroup all, unmask

I will say normally that is what I do but there are these odd files that seem to have masks all over the place. I am not sure if it is an illy 4 thing or if the designer actually puts them in. In any case it took 15 unmasks to finally get this logo free

Are you using the unmask function under 'Arrange' (alt-a-m-u)? That seems
to work better than right click unmask.
