Nonsense... just give him a nice thank you. Refer someone to him when you get the chance. That's all he did for you...

He knows better. Tell him you will return the favor in a referral for his business, or give him a small discount on any future job. Thats pretty bold of him to ask that, but nowadays, nothing surprises me.

If he sent the referral because you did good work for him, give him a bone. If he sent a referral to you because he wanted something for nothing, give him "THE" bone.

It's a "quid-pro-quo" world. Times are tuff. I always want to help out a friend or customer by helping make their business a little easier with a referral. Being thoughtful and helping others out fosters friendship and trust and will result in making your business life a little easier.
