JF 1631 damper

How do you check to see if the dampers are properly working?

In my test draw, the light magenta is missing about 10 rows of nozzles on the top third of the test. I soaked the head overnight in cleaning solution and did a test and it looked a little better, but then i did a hard clean and it went back to the same as before. That made me think it might just be a damper issue.....instead of a bad head.

Thoughts.

During the cleaning, i checked to see if i had a strong suction from the caps, and I do.

I'll try and get a picture up here soon.

are you running UV Hard or F-200 flexible ink? if you're running hard either damper will work (white or grey), but if you're running flexible you have to order the new style damper (grey). to my knowledge the ones on digiprint are the older white dampers which are only good for uv hard ink.
