are they really that good? They are opening one near my house. I was curious whether they were any good. Never even heard of them till the signs went up 2 days ago.

Our closest one is like 25 minutes away, but comparing it to Subway, it's about 20 times faster, less money, and way better tasting.

Jimmy Johns is only several seconds faster because you aren't standing there telling them what type of bread you want or type of cheese, heated or toasted or what veggies or sauces you want.
Both are pretty much the same price.
Quality of JJ's Roast Beef is better, but tuna from both places comes from a can each day.
PS...I ate Jimmy Johns for lunch today.

Oh, Jimmy Johns!
I was a manager at a shop here in Indianapolis. It was a fun job--I had a knack of hiring people that got along well with each other.
We would get extremely busy, though--Which made the job very stressful.
All in all, a great place to work. Even got to meet Jimmy himself. He's a nice man, very quirky but very personable.
Only thing that bothered me towards the end of my run there was that they initiated a no-tattoo policy. What bothered me about it was that Jimmy John's is supposed to be all about "Rockstars". Rockstars have tattoos in visible places..Why can't my employees?
Meh, just rubbed me the wrong way, that's all.
But yes, Jimmy Johns food is still delicious to me!
I always get a #11 on wheat bread, no tomatoes add avocado and cucumbers, sauce and oregano, easy mayo.

Haha, I know, right?
I joked around with the store owner and told him that I was going to get the Jimmy John's uniform tattooed on me, since I was always at work and never really got to wear anything but that stupid polo and khaki's.
He would laugh and tell me he'd raise the funds for me to do it.
Good people at Jimmy Johns( atleast there are at the ones here in Indy.
