Is there a company that sells forms for taking sign orders?

Also do any of you use a job board , like a clipboard for mon - Fri type system we are getting covered up with work and having a hard time keeping a workflow. It's scary!!


here is what i have in mind for a scenario bear with me here.,LOL

1. customer comes in we have a simple form for them to fill out pertaining to what type of sign and the content

2. we give quote

3. customers gives deposit

4. ticket is handed off to art dept.

5. layout put together

6. call customer for proofing

7. if approved finish job


Does this sound like a good plan?

if so do you have a system like this and does it work I know it won't work for every job but least it creates some sense of organization.

In addition to the samples they will bring in I think it will involve more paper work. I have a carbonless form that leaves blanks for Item description, size, Qty, Time frame, etc...
Then on the bottom of the form there is a square grid that fills 3/5th of the sheet for a mock layout to draw.

IMHO It's seems like a shame to waste a whole form on details they wont need.

as for my scenario I'm not sure if I worded it right .

They wont get all those details those are for me and my office staff..

In additional to critical paperwork, a dry-erase board is great for tracking work at a glance. We have one with columns for the customer name, a brief job description, and the due date. After getting an order, we put in on the board and then erase it when the order is assembled and waiting to be picked up.

Regarding job board, instead -- we maintain a yellow job status page, stapled to the inside of the job jacket. It lists all the completed tasks of job and initials of person completing task with date. It has been a great tool to keep account of status of work.
