I was using some liquid smoke in a recipe, and i occurred to me to ask - just where does liquid smoke come from? As far as I have observed, there is no juice leaking out of the fireplace....

I was never a big fan of liquid smoke.
There's either not enough or too much being used

Next time you make a pound of bacon, throw it in a plastic bag and douse it with about a half cup of liquid smoke first. You might change your mind!

I have to say Bacon is one of those things that tastes amazing the way it is, but it may be worth trying.
