Just bought a 79 Z28...What would you do?

I have just purchased this and am going to paint...partial wrap? No rust, minus a quarter dollar size of surface on a rear well. I am graphically challenged. I was thinking about going gloss black or for lack of a better word...electric blue (leaning this way), and something vinyl to make it pop. I am not asking for a design...just suggestions. (although designs are welcome) and I will pay for it if I use (if OK).
Here are some additional pics. http://s1179.photobucket.com/home/tcorn1965

The interior was redone, to me kind of looks retro-disco-and I love it, should I incorporate that in my decision?

Thanks,
Terry

Why not do the original 3 stripe graphics on the side? http://www.phoenixgraphix.com/gm/1979z.htm

I would not do blue paint, won't go with the interior, if you use black, use the gold stripes.

I had a friend who had an '80 Z28 that was Copper, and it looked really sweet!

Change the rims and drop the ass end down, make it level.

Nice car, good luck and let us know what changes you make!

Black all the way, tint the windows, lower the whole thing a little with a level stance, maybe some gunmetal wheels 17" front 18" rear. Then maybe some sort of factory style stripes that match the wheels. Definitely no blue unless you plan to change the whole interior. That's what I would do anyway. Black will show every imperfection in the body, nothing worse than a black car that waves at you when you look at it.

DO NOT paint that car electric blue. As a matter of fact you need to call Detroit and apologize for thinking that. I'd leave the exterior alone other than dropping the rear, and use the money to fix the interior.

Im a big fan of the camaro, (I own an 02 ss), Thats a really clean 79' whats your budget?
I assume you know about this site:

(this is a valuable source of knowledge! much like this site!)

I like the tall in back low in front drag car style look you got going on- how about some wide 315's for the rear, blower coming out the hood, flat black or gloss black wrap, ahh too much money to burn!

Keep it the way it is, take the best of care, drive it with care.
Seen this SS Chevelle a kid paid $18,000 2 months after more money spent, he blew the engine sold the car for $3,000 don't let that happen to you.
Thats a hot car and very dependable. easy to repair, at a low cost. ...not like todays cars at all.

Good advise...Thanks Craig! Maybe I will just fix the small spot of rust and have a body shop, buff it out and detail it. I do like the color and especially the stripes.

satin/flat black paint..gloss flames/stripes, lowered and wheels from this century (gunmetal or black as well). 9 inch ford rear (GM rears aren't worth a damn), some wilwood 4 piston calipers all the way around. get rid of all the cheap chrome under the hood and replace with aluminum/black.

tint the windows and enjoy!

nice ride.

for me, that crap looking strip on the sides.....GOTA GO!!!!!! doesnt fit the car. those stripes are more for a motor home)))))))
if you do anything, do it in paint!!!!!! 1979, THERE WAS NO DIGITAL PRINTS!!!!!
got black interior? paint it RED, BURGANDY, YELLOW, HIGH METALIC GREEN OF BROWN. find a pinstriper, PLEASE do not get some bozo who thinks they are mike lavalee.........and put flames on it. camero's are a car that looks good in a bold bright color. google camero web sites/car shows.....that will give you ideas as to what people are doing to that model.
