I just got flexistarter to run my signmaker 4b for cutting sandblast mask. It makes the 4b run way too fast. Anyone know how to slow it down? I changed "speed" on the plotter key panel but no change. Also, I have a 1" letter but it plots it at 13"???? I have the parameters set right on the flexistarter page. How about a good tutorial? Help! Job coming up to cut.:banghead:

go into the driver options in the production manager. Should be able to control the settings there if its not overriding on the plotter.

Ok, I got the speed slowed down. Do you know why a 1" letter in flexi plots as a 5" letter? I have the size settings at 1" on the plot page. Also, the plotter is making fractured letters now. Any ideas?

Its a 1" letter that plots as a 5" letter. Now the plotter has lost its mind.....fractured ovals, random lines everywhere for verticals and horizontals, its like it doesn't know where to go. etc. No blade problem...I'm using the pen.

there is still a setting for "blade offset" (whether or not you use blade or pen or whatever) somewhere AFAIK

edit: and check plotter language or whatever - HPGL vs GPGL

You adjust the size in "resolution" on Production Manager....who would have guessed. It was set to 5080 (thanks alot FlexiSign) and should have been 1000 (1" to 1000 steps on the plotter). Now what is plotted matches exactly what is on flexi design page and the cut/plot page. Turn the weed border off on cut/plot page and get the % measurement to coordinate exactly with actual size too.

Note: It helps to know a smart computer guy in another shop in town who has run your type of plotter before and is kind enough to come help a fellow sign maker out. The only thing we couldn't do is slow it down to a creepy crawl for sandblast mask. Yes, we adjusted the settings to slow in Flexi and on the plotter itself. It seems to have only one speed.

Hope this saves someone else tearing their hair out.:thumb:
