Everything you need is in the Mimaki section of the forums here. One of the top threads is the Mimaki "bible". Pretty much every service document ever made on the JV33. :) Nice machine, love ours! Have fun with it.

Assemble, flush heads with cleaning cartridges, do a few ink full ups and start printing. Seriously, that's it, JV33s take less than an hour to get set up. You should have gotten a basic setup manual with it that details the steps involved, but it's super quick and easy, no need to wait for a tech (unless it affects your service contract).

Time out...did you buy it NEW from Grimco? I'd say you probably would be voiding some kind of warranty if you set it up yourself, if you did. If it's used, then have at it.

I bought a cjv30-130 from grimco and set it up myself. i called and they said it was fine to set it up myself. Gave me more time with the tech that did come out to go over other things.

Warranty

You may want to keep that info between Grimco and yourself. A manufacturer has trained dealers to set up equipment for a reason, and they would come down hard on grimco if they knew they were not doing their installs as their contract calls for.
