JV-33 problem

So I turned on my printer yesterday afternoon and it is telling me on the display that my black ink is empty. I know it is not empty though, one cartridge has almost half full and the other is completely full. Anyone know why this would happen? Thanks in advance!

Mine drop from like 25% to 1% overnight sometimes. It's annoying, but they tell me those chips aren't always accurate.

Yea but one is completely full, and has not been used. And I can tell the other has ink just by picking it up, it was not even like they were close to empty.
