JV3 Overspray / Head Issue

I recently purchased a used JV3-130SPii and am trying to work out some issues it has. It has a real nasty over spray issue on cyan.

The Cyan head does not appear to be clogged.

I have switched the cyan and magenta dampers around and problem stays with the head, i.e. the magenta is now over spraying.
I switched the ribbon cables between the 2nd and 3rd head and to eliminate the slider board being the issue. Problem stays with the head.
I started going through the Alignment process. Head adjust first.

The Cyan is actually completely encompassing the Black line.
I moved to Slant adjustment to see what it looked like.

Am I correct in saying it looks as though everything needs slant adjustment, but the Cyan looks completely jacked up.

Does the Cyan look as if it could be corrected by soaking the head, or is a head replacement in order?

I swapped the cyan head with the yellow to get by ... the overspray issue is much less noticeable on yellow.
Before I did that I cleaned up the head by soaking and pulling solvent through - that reduces the overspray but wont fix it fully

i like your line of diagnosis. exactly what I would have done, including swapping dying head onto yellow channel to reduce noticeable ghosting.

ultimately, i think you need a new printhead.
its a hard pill to swallow, but wasted time&material hoping to limp-by on a dying printhead could eat up that expense & more.

you can use profiles that are not "variable dot" on a dying head to get it to print for a while longer.
