I'm pretty sure KnockOut is built into corel x3 photopaint.

I've used it and it works pretty well for some things. I'm sure it would do better if I took the time to really learn how to dial it in.

I think it works good. It takes a little getting use to and reading of the manual but other than that it does as it says it will.

I use it as a plug-in for Photoshop and it has very tight control !

I purchased Ultimatte Knockout, which was sold to Corel and it was expensive and great, even has a hardware key, it was a program and not a plug in. Great for retaining detail, like hair.
