Bonjour Peeps need a quickie of a q answered amazed i figured something to

ask i feel so special yup

k I wanna duplicate image and paste multiples of them in illustartor easy right

now here is the twist im using a zund cutter and i gotta have files in three seperate layers on a thru cut layer one with 1/3 reg marks that i have to make meself bc im idot not to buy 4 grand soft to do all that sh*! for me

so here is problem

when i copy and paste the image the copy isint in 3 seperate layer it saves as one layer and my machine wont read it

just my luck right so how can i do multiples of an image with multiple layers

bc copy and paste wont work

thank you and btw no smart ass remarks come on now i read things on her for awhile

Welcome!!!

If I understand correctly you want to copy and paste the same image on 3 different layers,
but when you copy and paste the pasted image is not going on a new layer.

Copy your image lock the layer make a new layer and paste it there,
if you want it in the same spot you copied it from use CTRL F.
Then lock that layer create a new layer and paste again.

I loved tht movie ladys man haha well i aint by work comp at moment but umm what i meant was when i copy the image with all three layers i want it to preseve all 3 layers when pasting side to side and not having the pasted one on flatten to one layer

mhm lol i know man it a toughy like i can do it manually by relecting the reg mark and cut thru mark and making it those layer but when i gotta do 100 aint fun like i dont even know if it possiable why they make software that does automaticly to screw me over haha

but than again i mean there must be away doesnt make sense
you figure this out and u can having bragging right that ur an adobe bad ass haha

like the peeps at zund company lol already thing im worlds biggest idiot so cant call them

On a Mac...

select... hold down "command/shift/option" then "drag" to where you need it, then "command>D" to repeat

should retain your layers...

OK here is one way, drag each layer in the layer dialog box to duplicate layer.
"Looks like a piece of paper with a folded corner"

I'll see if I can figure out an easier way.

and ctrl/alt/shift sounds right

ahh you guys are awesome for helping me out beer on me when ur around me neck of woods ha ok i tried them way ehh aint working for me well if it dont work out i hire some cute high school or college girl abouve 18 might i add to do hard way i just watch drink mikes hard lemonde none of that light crap while they do for me ah it fun having a biz

Select complete graphic

double click on "SELECTION TOOL"

window will pop up, add in specific distances hit "COPY"

Then hit Command "D"

In CadTools (hotdoor.com) you have the option of "step and repeat"
Baaaah, CadTools will not preserve layers

This will copy all 3 layers and paste them to 3 new layers?
Is that what command "D" is for?

man he is dedicated to for being on this late to help ppl out how do i get my picture on on icon thing do i have to have more comment to have that ability it funny i been a member for a bit never needed to chat til now and lol some bois here are hard core on new ppl on this forum

Click on the User CP link near the top of the page.
From there on the left side of the page you will see "Your Conrtol Panel"
Scroll dow a bit you will see Edit Avatar.
Click it, use the Browse button to upload your pic.
It can only be 100 Pixels x 100 Pixels or 24.4 KB and RGB.
