Laminate Changes Colors?!?!

So we've noticed on a few signs around town, that we've printed, that the laminate is turning a pinkish orange color... but only in the areas that are not printed. (The areas that have printed ink look fine, but the areas where there is bare white vinyl is changing color) We use Oracal 210 laminate, and are wondering is anyone else has come across this problem?

BTW We are almost positive it is the laminate and not the vinyl underneath (we print on Oracal 3165RA). We printed a translucent sign on Oracal 210 laminate and laminated it with Oracal 210 and it shows the same color change.

All the signs mentioned are 4+ years old.

So, you used a cheap 210 calendared laminate for outdoor signage and you're shocked it's changing colors/failing in a few years? 210 is a short-medium term economy film.

290 over cast media is meant to be outdoors for long term.

210 is a 4 year product, looks like it's at the end of it's life cycle.

We were under the impression that 210 was the standard laminate that most in the sign industry used for outdoor signage...

Also is is only failing on areas that do not have printed ink. Laminate over ink is holding up just fine, and looks good.

Do you have pictures? Exactly how obvious is the pink cast on the unprinted areas? Logically, those are the areas where it would be far more noticeable, so maybe the pink hue is in fact cast over the whole sign?
